Rolls-Royce Chief Executive Sir John Rose to give evidence on future of manufacturing

As part of its inquiry into Creating a Higher Value-Added Economy the Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Committee will take evidence from Sir John Rose, Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce and one of the UK's foremost business leaders, on the future of high value-added manufacturing in the UK. This is the second of a series of case studies the Committee is undertaking, looking at how the UK can best maintain and expand its high value-added manufacturing capability and promote innovation by its leading companies.

Subjects that are likely to be discussed include:

- Rolls-Royce's future plans in the UK;
- The future prospects for UK manufacturing; and
- The impact of government policy on research and development spending

The session will be open to the public on a first come, first served basis. There is no system for the prior reservation of seats in Committee Rooms.
