Judicial appointments under examination: experts to give evidence

In the first evidence session for its inquiry into the judicial appointments process, the Lords Constitution Committee hears from an expert panel.

The committee will ask whether the appointments system is fair, independent, transparent and open.


The evidence session will take place on Wednesday 6 July in Committee Room 1 of the House of Lords.

  • Dr Erika Rackley, Senior Lecturer in Durham Law School, University of Durham
  • Professor Alan Paterson, Director, Centre for Professional Legal Studies, University of Strathclyde
  • Professor Brice Dickson, Professor of International and Comparative Law, Queen's University Belfast.
