On Wednesday 20 March the Work and Pensions Committee will hear evidence on the Work Programme from Mark Hoban MP, the DWP Minister for Employment.
Wilson Room, Portcullis House.
Wednesday 20 March
At 4.30 pm
- Mr Mark Hoban MP, Minister for Employment, and officials, DWP
The Work Programme, the Government’s welfare-to-work scheme which aims to support a wide range of long-term unemployed people into work, was launched in June 2011. The Committee published a report on the design and commissioning of the Work Programme in May 2011.
The current inquiry is following up some of the issues raised in the Committee’s 2011 report, with a particular focus on the Work Programme’s effectiveness in supporting jobseekers who are furthest from the labour market.
