Frank Field MP, Chair of the Work and Pensions Committee, and Rachel Reeves MP, Chair of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee, write again to Michael O'Leary, Chief Executive of Ryanair following the airline's "evasive" response to their original questions on a series of allegations about its work model and practices.
We want full and proper answers
Rt Hon Frank Field MP, Chair of the Work and Pensions Select Committee, said:
"I am not sure where the impression has come from that you can fob off a select committee – two select committees - with a series of half and non- answers, but these are serious issues and we expect a serious response. Perhaps Ryanair might like to go away and try that again.
Rachel Reeves MP, Chair of the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Committee, said:
"Ryanair needs to get serious. Evasive responses to serious allegations about failure to pay the National Minimum Wage, of hours of unpaid work, of fees being incurred to leave just isn't good enough. We want full and proper answers to all of our questions about their employment and recruitment practices".
