The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government publishes its response to the Women and Equalities Committee's report of the last Parliament, Building for Equality: Disability and the Built Environment.
Committee to examine whether response meets ambition called for
Committee Chair, Maria Miller MP, said:
"We are glad that the Ministry has published its response to our report on Building for Equality, which was published nearly 11 months ago.
Our report made important recommendations about coordination of policy on accessibility, the involvement of disabled people in planning processes, the supply of accessible housing and the design of public spaces, among other topics.
The Committee will scrutinise the Government’s response carefully to assess whether the ambition we called for has been delivered."
