Minister questioned on Coronavirus - implications for transport

Minister of State, Chris Heaton-Harris MP, takes the place of the Secretary of State for Transport at the Committee’s evidence session at 12.30 as Mr Shapps has been called to attend urgent meetings relating to the government’s response to Covid-19.

Purpose of the session

MPs will ask about the Department’s response to the ongoing coronavirus crisis and the implications for various transport sectors. As news of a package for buses is expected soon, Baroness Vere will join the session.

This will be the second update which the committee has sought from the Secretary of State in recent weeks. A summary note of the first meeting was circulated previously.
