RBS CEO to appear before Committee

28 March 2018

The Scottish Affairs Committee has set a date for Ross McEwan, Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Bank of Scotland, to appear before the Committee.

Following a letter from the Committee asking him to give dates when he would be able to provide evidence in person, the CEO of RBS has agreed to appear before the Scottish Affairs Committee on Tuesday 8 May.

The session will investigate unanswered questions surrounding RBS' plans to close 62 branches in Scotland and subsequent announcement of a partial reprieve for ten branches.

The letter inviting Mr McEwan to appear before the Committee, and indicating the likely lines of inquiry, is attached above.
