Rt Hon Francis Maude questioned on public engagement in policy-making

28 November 2012

The Rt Hon Francis Maude MP, as Minister for the Cabinet Office and Paymaster General, is responsible for civil service issues and Government transparency as well as Public Sector Efficiency and Reform. He also has overall responsibility for the work of the Cabinet Office.

For this evidence session on "public engagement in policy-making", the Committee has invited members of the public on Twitter to submit questions for the Minister, using the hashtag #AskMaude.

As well as questions raised on Twitter, particular issues to be explored may include:

  • what constitutes "successful" open policy-making;
  • recent changes to Government consultation processes; and
  • wider issues relating to Civil Service Reform.
