The Public Accounts Committee Chair Meg Hillier MP has commented on today’s National Audit Office report examining Brexit and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
The Committee Chair, Meg Hillier MP, comments:
"The FCO has a steep slope to climb if it is to deliver its 11 EU Exit work streams on time and recruit over 400 new staff to do this.
The 1.3 million UK nationals living in EU countries need reassurance that the FCO can provide them with the necessary staff, support and protection after Brexit.
And with the FCO putting so much time and energy into EU Exit activities, it must make sure it doesn’t lose sight of all its other global responsibilities."
