The Procedure Committee takes evidence from former Attorney General Rt Hon Dominic Grieve MP and representatives from the Hansard Society, as part of the committee's inquiry into how delegated legislation is scrutinised, as set out in the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill.

Purpose of the session

The initial focus of the inquiry is on the power to enact delegated legislation claimed by the Government in Clauses 7, 8 and 9 of the Bill, and the procedures for Parliamentary scrutiny set out in Schedule 7 to the Bill.
