The Committee considered all e-petitions which had, before 25 June 2020, reached over 100,000 signatures, and those over 10,000 signatures which had received a Government response. The Committee also considered a revised response from the Government.

 

Petitions with 100,000 signatures

Allow gyms and leisure centres to re-open
The Committee agreed to schedule an e-petition session on Thursday 16 July.

Publish the Russia report
The Committee agreed to write to the Government asking for an update on the establishment of the Intelligence and Security Committee. 

 

Petitions with over 10,000 signatures which have received a government response 

Pay Carers an allowance equivalent to a fulltime job at the National Living wage 
The Committee agreed to request a revised response from the Government, which addresses the petition’s request. 

Make it mandatory to wear a face mask in public during Covid-19 Pandemic  
The Committee agreed to request a revised response from the Government, which addresses the petition’s request. 

Reduce curriculum content for year 10 & 12 students who will sit exams in 2021 
The Committee agreed to request a revised response from the Government, which addresses the petition’s request. 

One-off Grant To Be Paid To Anyone Who Has Not Benefited From A Covid-19 Scheme 
The Committee agreed to request a revised response from the Government, which addresses the petition’s request. 

Suspend future sales of tear gas and other crowd control equipment to the USA  
The Committee agreed to request a revised response from the Government, which addresses the petition’s request. 

Introduce Mandatory Ethnicity Pay Gap Reporting 
The Committee agreed to request a revised response from the Government, which addresses the petition’s request. 

Change the Furlough Support Scheme to include new hires after 28th February
The Committee noted the Government’s response. 

Omit the NHS from any future trade deal with the US  
The Committee noted the Government’s response. 

Improve maternal mortality rates and health care for black women in the UK  
The Committee noted the Government’s response.

 

Revised Government responses 

 Delay the reopening of schools to September 
The Committee considered the revised response, and agreed that it be published.
