Westminster Hall Debate on disability-inclusive development report

29 October 2019

In 2018, the UK hosted the first ever Global Disability Summit, and the Department for International Development published its first Strategy for Disability-Inclusive Development.

Thursday 31 October 2019, Westminster Hall

At 3.00pm

Purpose of the Debate

The International Development Committee undertook an inquiry into DFID’s work on disability inclusion, and in July 2019 published findings on DFID’s work on disability-inclusive development. The Committee received the Government’s response to the report on the 30th September 2019. The Government’s response was largely positive. This debate aims at pursuing the dialogue, and maintaining the momentum, across the third DFID Secretary of State to hold office since the original Summit.
