HCLG Committee to take evidence from the Secretary of State

Purpose of the session

The wide ranging session will examine the Secretary of State’s priorities for his department and examine the key issues within the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government’s remit. This will include Government plans to address major pressures on adult social care and housing, including social housing, the private rental sector and wider housebuilding programmes.

The Committee will also question the Secretary of State on his plans for reforming leasehold and planning systems, as well as progress in removing cladding from existing buildings and combatting homelessness
