Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee
One-off evidence session.
Following the Prime Minister's announcement on 5 March 2018 on new housing planning rules, it is likely this session will include a focus on the Government's plans to overhaul the National Planning Policy Framework. The session will also explore issues surrounding the Government's ongoing response to the Grenfell Tower fire, including progress made on rehoming former residents and reforming building regulations.
Ministers may also be asked about other policy areas within their responsibilities.
Evidence given by Dominic Raab MP, Minister of State for Housing, Heather Wheeler MP, Minister for Housing and Homelessness, Nico Heslop, Deputy Director for Planning Policy and Reform, and Fiona Darby, Deputy Director for Homelessness, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
There are currently no public meetings scheduled.
After publishing a Green Paper into social housing, the committee now intends to question on how well it is prepared to fulfil its plans
