The Home Affairs Committee Chair comments on the death of PC Andrew Harper.
The Chair of the Home Affairs Committee, Rt Hon Yvette Cooper, has issued the following statement about the death of PC Andrew Harper:
“The news of PC Andrew Harper’s death while on duty last night is deeply shocking and all our sympathies go out to his family, friends and colleagues at this awful time.
Police officers like PC Harper demonstrate extraordinary bravery every day, and his death is a tragic reminder of the immense sacrifices made to keep us safe.
On behalf of the Home Affairs Committee I have extended our deepest sympathies and support to Thames Valley Police and the Thames Valley Police Federation at this difficult time.”
