The Health Committee holds a pre-appointment hearing with the Government’s preferred candidate for Chair of NHS Improvement, Baroness (Dido) Harding.

The Chair of NHS Improvement is accountable to the Secretary of State for Health and will chair a major arms-length body with responsibility for NHS provider performance, quality and financial balance as well as leading a board that balances executive and non-executive responsibilities, and which ensures strong accountability to the Department
