Committee to focus on recent Government announcements on NHS funding

27 August 2019

Following the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s announcement of a one-year spending round, the Committee now plans to hold a single oral evidence session on Tuesday 10th September, focusing on the recent announcements the new Government has made regarding NHS funding. The Committee will use this session, alongside the written evidence submitted, to examine:

  • the extent to which the recent announcements provide what is necessary for the NHS to deliver the NHS Long-term Plan and maintain day-to-day performance
  • how much extra resource is needed; and
  • how resources should be allocated.

If you have already submitted, but wish to add any further points in light of the Committee’s new focus, then you can submit further evidence via the online portal here.
