1. Declaration of interests

Shailesh Vara declared his interests, in accordance with the resolution of the House of 13 July 1992 (see Appendix).

2. Q2 Financial monitoring

The Committee took note of the paper.

3. Savings programme

The Committee agreed its advice to the Commission on the savings programme; noted the proposals on income generation; and agreed the plans for consultation on the Print to Web proposals.

4. Medium-term financial plan and Estimate

The Committee agreed to recommend the Medium-Term Financial Plan to the Commission, and agreed an Estimate for 2012/13 for submission to the Commission.  It agreed to draw the importance of non-cash costs in the Administration budget to the Commission’s attention.

5. Termly report on Security

The Committee took note of the termly report.

6. Proposed Standing Order on Motions etc with financial consequences

The Committee confirmed its support for the proposed standing order on motions and amendments with financial consequences for the House’s Administration budget.

7. Request from the Industry and Parliament Trust

The Committee agreed that it would not be appropriate in current circumstances to recommend that the House provide funding for the Industry and Parliament Trust.

8. Dates of meetings

The Committee agreed to meet on 18 January, 22 February, 14 March, 25 April, 16 May, 20 June, 11 July, 5 September and 24 October 2012.

9. Date and time of next meeting

Wednesday 18 January at 2.00pm.
