Committee examines draft agreements following meeting with Michel Barnier

On Wednesday 10 June, the Committee on the Future Relationship with the European Union returns with a virtual evidence session examining the draft future relationship agreements published by the UK and EU during negotiations. The Committee will also hold a private virtual meeting with Michel Barnier on Monday 8 June.

Purpose of the session

Over the course of negotiations on the future relationship, both the EU and the UK have published draft legal texts. In this session, the Committee will question policy, legal and customs experts on the contents of the respective proposals, and key differences between them. 

Prior to Wednesday’s session, the Committee will hold a virtual meeting with Michel Barnier on Monday 8 June. Although the meeting will take place in private, a transcript will be published in due course.
