Government update on EU Trade negotiations released

26 April 2017

European Scrutiny Committee releases most recent Government update on EU Trade negotiations.

The Government updates the European Scrutiny Committee regularly on EU trade negotiations.

Given current public discussion over trading options, model trade agreements, and priority sectors for UK trade following withdrawal from the EU, the Committee considered there was public interest in advertising more widely such updates from the Government.

The briefing covers extant EU trade negotiations, including updates on ASEAN FTAs, Economic Partnership Agreements with regional groupings of African, Caribbean and Pacific countries and multilateral agreements.
