Early Election – open calls for evidence

19 April 2017

The House of Commons has agreed that there should be an early General Election. The Prime Minister has said that this will take place on 8 June. Parliament will be dissolved on 3 May. The Committee’s work, including its open inquiries, will come to an end at this point.

The Committee will continue to accept written submissions on all of its open inquiries until 10am on Monday 24 April.  This is so the Committee has the opportunity to take note of all evidence submitted. It will be for its successor Committee in the next Parliament to decide whether it wishes to take forward these inquiries.
