Lord Stern questioned on the economics of climate change

The Energy and Climate Change Committee will take evidence on The economics of climate change at 9.30am on Tuesday 5 November 2013, in the Grimond Room, Portcullis House.


The Committee will hear from:

  • Professor Lord Stern, President of the British Academy and former Chief Economist at the World Bank, as well as IG Patel Professor of Economics & Government at the London School of Economics.

Timings are approximate.

Topics to be covered

The session will explore a range of issues, including:

  • The economics of climate change;
  • The current government approach to addressing climate change; and
  • International climate change action.
