Ofgem's Retail Market Review

The Energy and Climate Change Committee held three evidence sessions on Ofgem's Retail Market Review, on

The sessions explored the findings of Ofgem’s interim Retail Market Review and assessed the viability of Ofgem’s initial proposals which were aimed at making competition in the market more effective and improving customer engagement through:

  • Energy prices
  • Making tariffs clearer and fairer,
  • Enhancing competition in the market,
  • Strengthening measures to increase consumer engagement, and
  • Improving reporting transparency.

    • Reports and associated evidence – Reports of Committee inquires. This category may also include Special Reports where they are used by a Committee to bring matters relating to conduct of its business to the notice of the House.
