The Committee on Education, Skills and the Economy takes evidence from the Skills Minister, Nick Boles MP, on his role as joint Minister in the Departments for Education and Business, Innovation and Skills.

The Committee hears about how effectively two departments work together on education and skills matters. The questioning is also likely to cover the Minister's key responsibilities, including:

Committee's role and membership

The Committee on Education, Skills and the Economy is a Parliamentary innovation, bringing together Members from the Education Committee and Business, Innovation and Skills Committee to examine skills and education issues, and their impact on the economy, in a joined-up way.
