Priority Schools Building Programme call for evidence

The Education Committee invites written submissions to its Priority Schools Building Programme inquiry by Monday 9 March 2015.

The Committee invites brief written comments, by 11.59pm on Monday 9 March 2015, on the following issues:

  • How the allocation of funding under the Priority Schools Building Programme has affected schools, including those who were due to receive funding under the Building Schools for the Future programme
  • The impact on schools in need of repair or rebuilding that have not received funding
  • The experiences of schools who received funding under phase 1 of the programme
  • The value for money of the Priority Schools Building Programme compared to Building Schools for the Future.

Submissions should be sent via the Priority Schools Building Programme inquiry page.

Evidence session

The Education Committee holds a one-off evidence session on Wednesday 18 March 2015 with David Laws, Minister of State for Schools, Department for Education, and others, on the Priority Schools Building Programme.

The session focuses on the formula used to allocate funding for the Priority Schools Building Programme and the effect that allocation has on schools.
