Committee question Lord Agnew and National Schools Commissioner Dominic Herrington

The Education Committee is holding an accountability session with Minister for the School System Lord Agnew and National Schools Commissioner Dominic Herrington.

Purpose of the session

The session will be a chance for the Committee to examine the Government’s policy on academies, as well as ask about efficiencies in schools and the Opportunity North East programme.

Mr Herrington was appointed National Schools Commissioner on a permanent basis this week after holding the interim role since September. The NSC is responsible for the eight regional schools commissioners, which support teachers and leaders in academies and free schools.
