Committee question further education sector on funding priorities

05 October 2018

The Education Committee questions representatives from the further education sector on college funding and priorities for the next Spending Review period.

The session is part of the Committee’s inquiry into school and college funding, which is examining what the Department for Education’s funding priorities should be and whether a longer-term vision needs to be taken of education funding in England.

Appearing before the Committee will be witnesses from the Association of Colleges, Sixth Form Colleges Association and the National Union of Students. Questions are likely to focus on how the FE funding formula works and changes needed to the formula, as well as the financial impact of the introduction of T Levels.

Further evidence on college and sixth form funding will be taken later in the Committee’s inquiry.
