Purpose of the Session

The session with Dame Martina, Chief Executive of the Prince’s Trust, will focus on her experience and performance in previous roles and her commitment to tackling social injustice.

Dame Martina was announced as the Government’s preferred candidate on 23 May. The Committee will publish a short report following the session.

The Commission’s previous Chair, Alan Milburn, resigned alongside his three fellow Commissioners in December. In March, the Committee published a report bringing forward recommendations for reform of the SMC.
