Chair of the Education Committee, Rt Hon Robert Halfon MP, has written to Geoff Barton, General Secretary of the Association of School and College Leaders, on knife crime and school exclusions.
Following an evidence hearing on the link between knife crime and school exclusions, the Chair wrote to the Education Secretary Damian Hinds MP ( PDF 80 KB), to highlight a number of areas of concern regarding early intervention and inclusion, inconsistency of schools' approaches to knife crime and improving the quality of alternative provision.
