Tuesday 19 December 2017, Committee Room 15, Palace of Westminster

Topics are likely to include reform of GCSEs and A-levels, the new T level qualification and apprenticeship assessments.
Ofqual’s interim report
The Committee also has the opportunity to ask about proposed measures to strengthen exam integrity, following the publication on Thursday of Ofqual’s interim report on teacher involvement in developing exam papers.
The regulator launched a review in to exam setting practices after a number of reported incidents of malpractice in independent schools during the summer.
Ofqual appeared at a one-off session on exam integrity in November, when the Committee also heard from representatives from independent schools, including the Headmaster of Eton College.
The meeting is the latest in a series of accountability hearings being held early in the new Parliament, with the Committee having already examined Ofsted, the Children’s Commissioner and the National Schools Commissioner.
