Purpose of the session

The session will be a chance for the Committee to ask Anne Longfield about her work in areas such as knife crime and school exclusions, as well as other issues relating to her role protecting and promoting the rights of children. Members will also have the opportunity to question her on the recent Tailored Review of the Office of the Children's Commissioner.

The session is part of the Committee's series of accountability hearings with figures accountable to Parliament. The Children's Commissioner last appeared before the Committee in November 2017.
