Outgoing FE Commissioner questioned on post-16 reviews

The Education Committee to hold the first evidence session in its inquiry into post-16 education area reviews.

Purpose of the session

The Committee will question the outgoing FE Commissioner as well as representatives from college groups and local government from areas which have completed their reviews.

The Committee will hear from Sir David Collins, who will leave his post as FE Commissioner next month, as well as Andy Wilson, Chief Executive Office of the newly-formed Westminster Kingsway and City and Islington Colleges (WKCIC) group, Angela Joyce, Group Principal and Chief Executive at Warwickshire College Group, and Theresa Grant, Chief Executive Officer at Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council.

The Committee is focusing on the progress, effectiveness and impact on the FE sector of the Government's on-going programme of reviews.
