The Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Jeremy Wright MP, will appear before the DCMS Committee for the first time in a public session on Wednesday 24th October at 2.30pm.

The Committee will use the opportunity to question the Secretary of State on his departments plans to tackle fake news and the spread of disinformation, including its approach to future relationships with the big tech companies. The Government’s official response to the Committee’s interim report is due to be published on Tuesday 23rd October.
The session will also allow MPs to question the Secretary of State on his priorities and on recent announcements from DDCMS including the Civil Society Strategy and the Future Telecoms Infrastructure Review.
