Alexander Nix to appear again before the Committee

07 June 2018

The Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee questions Alexander Nix of Cambridge Analytica as part of its inquiry into fake news.

Witness

Wednesday 6 June 2018, Grimond Room, Portcullis House

At 3.00pm

  • Alexander Nix

Background of the session

Mr Nix previously gave evidence to the Committee as part of its inquiry into Fake News on Tuesday 27 February 2018.

However, following evidence submitted to the Committee, and material published in the UK Observer, Guardian, The New York Times and Channel 4 about Cambridge Analytica’s business practices and alleged misuse of data, further questions have been raised which the Committee intends to put to Mr Nix.

The Committee first recalled Mr Nix to appear on 18 April to clarify his original evidence, to which he agreed, but then subsequently declined to attend. As a result, the Committee issued a formal summons to Mr Nix to appear on Wednesday 6 of June, which he has now accepted.
