General evidence session with the Secretary of State for Defence

07 December 2011

The evidence session will be the first opportunity for the Commons Defence Committee to question the new Secretary of State for Defence, the Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP since his appointment.

The session does not form part of an inquiry, but is designed to establish the new Secretary of State’s priorities and to follow up a number of issues of concern. It is likely that a number of the issues raised will feature inquiries at a later stage.

Wednesday 7 December, at 2.30 pm, Grimond Room, Portcullis House (room subject to change)

  • The Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, Secretary of State for Defence
