Report and Government Response published

The Business, Innovation and Skills Committee holds a one-off evidence session on the regulation of pay-day loan companies, following up on some of the issues raised in the Committee’s 2012 Report on Debt Management (PDF, 2.46 MB). The Committee questioned representatives of payday loan companies, the regulatory and consumer advice bodies, as well as the Financial Conduct Authority who will take over as the new regulator for consumer credit, in April 2014.
