Committee questions Sir David Attenborough

On Tuesday 9th July from 10am, Sir David Attenborough will face questions from the Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee on a range of issues relating to climate change and the ‘net zero’ emissions target.

The evidence session is likely to cover Sir David’s views on public engagement and public perceptions of climate change, the ecological impact of global warming, and the benefits and costs of the transition to a low-carbon economy.  

A BEIS Committee hearing with the BEIS Minister on the Clean Growth Strategy and ‘net zero’ will be held at a later date.

The hearings are part of the Committee’s ongoing work on the Clean Growth Strategy and complement its current inquiries on financing energy infrastructure and on energy efficiency. The Committee has also carried out inquiries on Carbon Capture Usage and Storage and on Electric Vehicles.
