S.O Davies' Election Special, 1934
S.O. Davies was elected to represent Merthyr Tydfil at a by-election on 5 June 1934, and made his maiden speech on unemployment. The by-election in Merthyr had caught the attention of liberal politician David Lloyd George. Copies of candidates' campaign materials are now kept with his personal papers at the Parliamentary Archives.
