Order of Service for the Duke of Wellington's funeral

More than 10,000 distinguished mourners witnessed the Iron Duke being laid to rest in St Paul's Cathedral. MPs, Peers and senior members of Parliament's staff were allocated sections of seating in the cathedral. Most of those who did not take part in the procession met at Parliament on the morning of the funeral and took steam boats down the Thames from Westminster to St Paul's Wharf.

Among those attending was future Clerk of the House of Commons, Thomas Erskine May, who collected this Order of Service and a number of other printed items relating to the funeral that are now in the Parliamentary Archives.
