Africa Star

The Africa Star awarded to British and Commonwealth forces who served in North Africa between 10 June 1940 and 12 May 1943 during the Second World War. This medal was instituted on 8 July 1943.

During WWII campaigns took place in North Africa from June 1940 to May 1943, with campaigns fought in Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
