Astor on the 1918 general election
This is a letter from Nancy Astor to Frances Stevenson (Prime Minister David Lloyd George's personal secretary), sent during the 1918 general election. She refers to the election in Derby, to Margaret Bondfield campaigning for Labour, and to Frederick Guest, the Chief Whip. It shows Astor directly engaging with Parliamentary politics before she became an MP.
