Redmond to Asquith, sixth page

Redmond recognises that there are risks for the government in following his wishes, particularly with regards to Carson and the Unionist Party.  However, he is assured that the Tories do not as strongly support Carson as they once did and he assures the Prime Minister that the threat of trouble in Ulster at this time is minimal.  On the other hand, if Home Rule were to be ignored the risks from disappointment in Ireland could lead to much protest.
