Wine Funnel
There is one wine funnel in the silver collection which is dated to 1840 and is hallmarked T. J. & N. Creswick. It is made from two parts, the inner part is pierced to remove large lumps of sediment and cork. There is a “thumbpiece” on the top edge for clipping onto the side of a punch bowl and the end of the funnel is curved to direct the flow of wine onto the side of the decanter to increase airflow.
