Overseas visitors can watch laws being made, attend debates, committees and judicial hearings, visit the Archives and tour Parliament during the Summer Opening.

You can watch laws being made and debates in both Houses by visiting the public galleries when Parliament is meeting.

Public committee sessions are open to everyone, including the press. There are meetings Monday to Thursday most weeks when Parliament is sitting (meeting). Visitors queue on the day, places cannot be booked in advance.

Held Monday to Thursday; no tickets are issued.

Arrange a tour

Overseas visitors can only tour Parliament during the Summer Opening, when paid-for tickets are available. However, overseas visitors may still attend debates and committees throughout the year.

The Archives are open from Monday to Friday, 09.30 to 17.00. Proof of identity is required.
