The Derby Room contains the majority of the House of Lords Library's historic book collection. As with several other rooms in the Library, the Coats of Arms of the Chief Justices of England are displayed above the bookcases. Writing tables and chairs provide space for Members to read and write. The room is named after the 14th Earl of Derby, who served as Prime Minister three times between 1852 and 1868.
