The Government has announced the location of 24 new Enterprise Zones in England. Businesses in these small areas will benefit from tax and planning concessions and superfast broadband.
30.03.2012Regional Growth Fund
At the 2011 Autumn Statement, the Chancellor announced a further £1 billion for the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), which will be extended into 2014-15. The RGF is now worth £2.4 billion over four years from 2011-12 to 2014-15. It is intended to promote the private sector in areas in England most at risk to public sector cuts.

The Government has now approved a total of 38 Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs). These cover 99% of England's population. The Government has recently announced a £500 million infrastructure fund which will be allocated to LEPs.
