12.02.2013Regional Growth Fund
At the 2012 Autumn Statement, the Chancellor announced a further £310 million for the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), which will be extended into 2015-16. The RGF is now worth over £2.7 billion over the five years from 2011-12 to 2015-16. It is intended to promote the private sector in areas in England most at risk to public sector cuts.
03.01.2013Green Investment Bank
The Government has announced the creation of a Green Investment Bank to stimulate investment in green technologie. This note includes details of its role and its location.
05.12.2012Local Enterprise Partnerships
The Government has now approved a total of 39 Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs). These cover all areas of England.
13.07.2012Support for Small Business
Government policy on support for small business has been evolving in the current economic downturn. This note covers existing arrangements and schemes introduced under the previous administration.
15.05.2012Enterprise Zones
The Government has announced the location of 24 new Enterprise Zones in England. Businesses in these small areas will benefit from tax and planning concessions and superfast broadband.
