This section sets out the aims and objectives of Parliament Procurement's section
to deliver procurement excellence to support the Houses of Parliament
The Parliament Procurement service provides expertise and support, covering a wide variety of requirements, to deliver world-class services to Members, staff and visitors to the Estate, and helps to maintain the infrastructure of a World Heritage site.
The Parliament Procurement service consists of two core teams of qualified professionals in the House of Lords & House of Commons who work closely together to develop procurement policy for Parliament. The broad principles of the policy are:
-
to promote value for money
-
to promote propriety and regularity
-
to promote compliance with legal obligations
Each team also provides specialist procurement consultancy services to departments in each House to deliver value for money through quality contracts.
We recognise that none of this can be achieved without our suppliers, and so we are working to help both current and potential suppliers understand the procedures and requirements of public sector procurement. These pages are designed to provide easily accessible information to:
-
give suppliers a better insight to Parliament's procurement policies and processes
-
enable suppliers to learn about new/ongoing initiatives
-
provide an opportunity for suppliers to become familiar with our documentation
-
help suppliers find out about our current and forth-coming contract opportunities
The site is being developed and we welcome your comments and suggestions for enhancements and improvements which should be emailed to csd@parliament.uk quoting "Internet feedback" in the subject field.
