Speaker's Counsel is the legal advisor to the Speaker and heads the Office of Speaker's Counsel in the clerks department in the House of Commons. The LSO provides legal advice to the Speaker and committees of the House in a number of areas of House of Commons business such as delegated legislation, European legislation and Private Bills.
