The Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards deals with the application of the Code of Conduct and related Rules that apply to Members of Parliament.
This includes the registration of financial interests held by MPs and the investigation of complaints about MPs who have allegedly breached the Code of Conduct or related Rules.

An Annual Report on the work undertaken by the Commissioner's office has been produced every year since 2003. The Annual Report for 2011–12 ( PDF 1.21 MB) was published on 26 June 2012.
The Committee considers reports from the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, oversees her work and recommends any changes to the Code of Conduct or to the rules relating to the conduct of MPs.
The Committee on Standards in Public Life is an independent public body which advises government on ethical standards across the whole of public life in the UK.
